If you are free this Saturday evening then why not pop down to the Lodge Bar where i will be playing some chillout whilst you eat and then shift the music up a notch each hour with some 70s, 90s, and upto date club music as the evening and drinks move on ;)

Starts around 8:30pm

unfortuantly i have to us my laptop to mix until i get my decks sent over :/

Ho Hum the joys of moving around the world ;)

Hope to see you there!

I believe there was (is) another Lodge the other side of Kyrenia. I think Catalkoy or Esentepe.

Oh yes there is another lodge, in Catalkoy.

That will be another noisy night on our terrace then.

Out of interest what time should music stop in a residential area?

I believe music should stop at the time their licence says so! Great to know people are out there and alive. Yes we live in the area but luckily in an old house so once inside we do not hear a thing and before that 3 years of Ice. I find the kids running up and down screaming from early evening to past midnight more of an irritation but i believe that's why i kicked in a good job to come and live, work in a climate that is very much outside. I know when I used to come on holiday here it was all about sunbathing, staying out late drinking and socializing in the open air, things I couldn’t do in England. Being a shift worker I thought it great people had places to go when they finished work instead of motorway cafes

snd1966 - It`s first on the left on the Lapta Strip coming from Kyrenia or last on the right coming from Karsiyaka. It used to be the Cabin and it`s actually opposite the Beach Cabin. Hope you find it, Ali`s done a great job.

There is a Lodge on the Lapta strip next to Veni Vici and opposite The Cabin. Owned by Ali, and Sunny is the best barman on the island - you name a cocktain and he can do it!!!!!!

The do excellent meals and are very reasonable and very very friendly.

Yes you managed to keep us up until nearly 2 am with that headbanging noise you played at full volume last night.

I hope you have some respect for the residents that live around here and try to keep your shitty noise down next time.

My personal opinion.

Last year there used to be nice mixed music played on friday and saturday nights that was very pleasent and kept to a reasonable volume, but this is just a bloody nuisance and I do not think you will be getting many customers if you keep playing stuff like this.

Athlete. I think you should clarify which Lodge you are talking about. Is it the one in Catalkoy? I cannot see Ali in the Lapta Lodge putting up with a loud noise because he doesn`t like it.

Yes it is the one in Catalkoy and I called the police to to complain about the noise.

15 minutes later they turned the music down but I guess soon as the police went they turned it up again.

Next time they will have a piece of my mind and what else is necessary.

@athlete you may have not liked the music - however i was paid to play at the volumes that was regulated by the venue - as for headbanging music - sorry you had wrong night, as it was a combo of chillout - 70s - 90s and some funk at the end - hardly headbanging is it? why live next to a venue / bar / club is my question as you will always have the music belted out :p

I have another name for the thing you describe as funk but I will not spell it out for you.

As for Lodge, I was a regular customer with all my family and friends last year, but I do not think I will be setting foot in there again, if this is the amount of consideration they give to the people living around them.

Msg 19 silly comment as these places change hands so often and when people buy or rent they dont know what is going to happen. They may have lived there before it was a restaurant.

Redseadance, it was too loud going on too late in our opinion.

What time does the lodge in Catalkoys music licence run to?

As for your comment about not living near a bar/restaurant, get a life!

We bought long before the lodge was built. We bought in Catalkoy because it wasn't a tourist area then.

Very inconsiderate for the local residents, it was even audible over the air con in the bedroom.

We like music but we dislike being forced to listen to the likes of you with your verbals in between loud music that

we have no choice but to listen to.

Fully agree with athlete.

As i said b4 the volumes was set by the venue - im used to playing on 10.000 watt systems plus - the Lodge speakers is around 300 watt - in any outdoor venue sound will carry.

I Play to the crowd infront of me - not for people sat in thier homes - All i can do is say Sorry your evening was disturbed.

As for taste of music - sorry cant help if you dont like, when others did enjoy at the Lodge last week.
