Hi we have family visiting next week - they land at Larnaca at 05.00 on Sunday morning and are planning on hiring a car to come to see us for a few days before finishing the rest of their holiday in Paphos. Does anybody know whether they will be able to get insurance at that time? Thank you.

If they are landing at LCA @ 5am, by the time they get their luggage and find the car, and drive to (say) Nicosia they will be fine..

Some tips.. if lost - asking for the 'border' is not a wise thing.. and the hire car is CYPRIOT - not Greek ;)

Ask them to get the car hire company to organise the 3rd party insurance for the north if there is any doubt as to timing. It costs an extra €10 to do this, but what peace of mind.
