My last state pension credited to my account was on 2 Jun 11. The government website precludes contact by e mail stating it is not a secure method. When I made contact by telephone and explained I was on a 28 day pension payment plan and that I was short of more than 3 months monies the response was totally offhand. "It must have been a glitch, no you are not entitled to any lost interest. If you are not happy that we will now credit your account the monies overdue you must write to us and complain". I am wondering if I have been unlucky or this may be a regular occurrence for many recipients of state pensions? In any event I can only recommend that those who receive state pensions keep a better eye on bank statements than I did particularly when Bank statements are often issued by calendar months with a delay in process so that , as a matter of routine, it can be no payments in one calendar month and two in the next. Now, what tone of letter should I send ?

DD. I recommend a factual occurrence of events with supporting references wherever possible, including dates, names etc. If you get irate in the tone, the recipient will just blank. However, seeking help in a polite manner is much more likely to get the response you need/want. If posting from TRNC, get it recorded. Good luck.

I had so many problems when 1 bank in TRNC changed it's payment methods, and it took 3 months so many calls to UK to sort out matters.I did try and talk to the more helpful staff, but they told me there were over 70 stall there, and this was not possible. So much time wasted answering security questions. I have sent them an email over 15 working days ago,and am still awaiting a reply. "Tits on a chicken"...spring to mind...useless Mike

Sorry you are having problems, we have ours paid in without any problems, for the last 6 years (now I've tempted fate!!) However, if you were talking about the Tax Offices..................that is another matter. Thank God for Skype..............to put it succinctly they were polite but useless and took nearly two years to sort out a simple problem of £250.
