Oldshep - petrol manual is actually the worst combo for a 4/4....

Diesel automatic is the best - diesel does lots more MPG and has 3 times the torque for low down and mid range grunt...

If you got the main Hyundai dealer in Lefkosia, nearly every Santa fe and Tucson is diesel auto....

Your comment doesn't surprise me though, having read message 5 !!

sorry i have been a mechanic 40 years servicing costs diesel against petrol far

outway any advantage they maybe on mpg its does 11.5 to the litre by the way

so this is why i say petrol is the perfered choice

and the torque for the diesel engine ?? and the life span of the diesel engine ?

The servicing costs of a diesel are not that much more than a petrol engine, but the mpg should be 30-40% higher.

Anyway, good luck with your sale

but who whant's to change gear manually ??

Most cars over here are Auto's - Most lux 4/4's sold in the uk are diesel autos.....

a petrol man lux 4/4 like your's is not the most desirable option - Fact...

Again, no hard feelings, good luck with the sale......

Shep,

The Landrover you are mentioning is the "mud plugger", not the Lux 4/4 which your car comes into.....

The Mudplugging brigade prefer to manual box - but the civilised brigade, who buy models like the Tuscan want creature conforts......

As i said earlier, you only have to go the the main Hyundai dealers in Lefcosia (Asoc) and look at their stock of Tucson and Santa Fe 4/4's - virtually every one will be diesel auto - bearin in mind they forward order these to satisfy customer demand - why are they ordering mostly diesel autos ??

BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT THE CUSTOMER WANTS !! - NOT PETROL MANUAL CARS.....

I rest my case.
