Motorbike / scooter , what can you ride ? And with what license ?

I am thinking of down sizing to two wheels and wanted to know just what i can ride with my English car license . Is there a limit (cc's) wise , as to how far i can go , or can i go out and buy me a Harley !!!! ??? Or do i have to apply for a Turkish license ??

you can use your uk licence but only for three months but you must tell your insurance company as sometimes there is a problem if you have an accident.

we had Bike licences-from my little "sewing machine" to the big ones and they were NOT registered on our TRNC licences-neither was my 12 seater mini bus license,or my advanced driving cert.

We understood that we had to re-take bike tests for here.......mind you-i would rather NOT be on a bike ,it's bad enough in a car!!

arry I think a new law has just come into force that you do need a helmet.



But saying that not sure if its enforced or if even its a law at all

Helmets law in OCTOBER according to the Cyprus Today paper



My little machine was LOVED....but at times I felt like I could have run faster HA HA!!

you should have seen me from a standing start at traffic lights..........pedestrians could get to the other side quicker than me LOL!!

Loved being pillion on the big bikes....think the road bends have affected my hips in my old age...thats my story and I am sticking to it(no comments plz!!)

Do take care if you go ahead with a bike....I am sure you will be well aware of these dangerous roads and drivers.HAVE FUN!!
