I think 80 year olds having paid in full for their properties and now facing eviction is just as serious a crime. In particular because it appears Government sponsored.

Hi Paddywack,

Surely the point you were trying to make in message 1, was that the TRNC was not bad, in comparison to what is happening in England? Was that not the point of your post? I merely gave you another example of how, it is just as bad and in some ways worse. Not necessarily going off topic, just showing that bad things happen in both the TRNC and England.

Bradus

Point taken, but I have yet to hear of someone in NC stealing from a person without legs.

But Martin your from Guernsey.

This is what the EU says abt the UK

The total number of violent offences recorded compared to population is higher than any other country in Europe, as well as America, Canada, Australia and South Africa.

Opposition leaders said the disclosures were a "damning indictment" of the Government's failure to tackle deep-rooted social problems.

The figures combined crime statistics for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The UK had a greater number of murders in 2007 than any other EU country – 927 – and at a relative rate higher than most western European neighbours, including France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

It also recorded the fifth highest robbery rate in the EU, and the highest absolute number of burglaries, with double the number of offences recorded in Germany and France.

Overall, 5.4 million crimes were recorded in the UK in 2007 - more than 10 a minute

It (the UK) can only get worse, no jobs, no money, no incentives = NO HOPE! I'm glad to be 61 ..Heaven knows what's in store for the youngsters.

Visitor's posts does not justify the fact of >you< constantly knocking Cyprus to ground but still insisting of living here.

It is just as well >you< did not buy.

A corrupt state, living off the sale of stolen land!

Now it need' nt be like this, but until both sides sit down and work out an amicable settlement, that is exactly

what it is.

Get around the table, under the auspices of the UN, and legitimise this unholy mess.

Cypriots need a settlement! Give peace a chance.
