Naas suburb of Dublin???? If it was the Dubs versus the Lillywhites in the final I don't think so!!

You must be a Dulchie if you make a comment like that.

Up the Dubs. I am hoping for a draw, so I can watch the match in exile as well.

Coming over the night of the 23rd. If anyone want some supplies from home, jus let me know here.

Here is a quiz question for you. Why are Dubliners called Jackeens?

Born and Bred Dublin living in Naas 16 years so if there was ever to be a Kildare V Dublin Final I could claim both. My Kids who have lived most of their lives in Kildare support Dublin

We leave on 24th so if there is a draw we could either go if we were able to get the golden tickets or watch at in the pub with the rest of the Dubs living in Naas

Jackeens - Is something to do with the Dublin gentry in the 1800's being more british than the brits themselves and more loyal to the Union Jack flag hence jackeens or as my parents told me their country cousins used to say because we had an inside Jacks (toilet) and they didn't

So you are a Dulchie then!

The term Jackeen was termed after the Royal visits of Victoria and Edward VII because Dublin out did the rest of Ireland with her 'patriotic' fervour with every building being draped in the Union Jack.

Nice story about the toilets, but sadly not true. Only Dubs call toilets the Jacks.
