If you get this it normally means SKYPE can't find the route to the internet and SKYPE's servers..



As you are able to post ( from the same PC ? ) that is a bit bizarre..



Do you have a new Internet Security / Firewall prog - one that might be blocking SKYPE ?

I had the same problem about a month ago, had to re-install Skype to get it working.

Do NOT upgrade to their new version, it's absolute rubbish and you lose all credits and contact numbers.

We have been having same problem for about a month,



Our seperate Skype phone seems OK but cannot get any Skype text messages and the green icon will not stay on.



Also getting the circle.

6m's.......... I was advised to select " firewall off" for skype program, it seems much better now

I've upgraded to new version of Skype...

Version 5.5.0.117

Still got credit and contacts.

No problems so far.

Are you sure you had credit and friends ?
