Ok Its awful. Blighty is sinking into an abyss of sin and debauchery.

Its all the foreigners taking our jobs. Poles especially - if only they were not such good builders!

Greece well we all know abt them.

How dare they debate abt same sex marriages. When we are all being murdered in our beds.

MPs I would get rid of them all. Worst then the crooks in TRNC. ( almost)

There all done!

Woodspeckie...Marie...........Yes,I am so happy here,but I have

family in UK,including 4 great kids, and my "baby"son is in the Army on his 3rd tour somewhere.

Debating our presence in countries who do not want us there, should be a priority,NOT lesbians or homosexuals wanting to marry .

Some one complaining about immigrants - who just happens to be one himself.

I'd call that ironic if I knew what irony was.

So if you live here you are not allowed to express your opinion on anything going on in the UK, so by the same token if you live in Portugal you surely are not allowed to express an opinion on what is happening in TRNC,that seems fair I suppose.

As for whether or not the OP found a partner in Thailand, what has that got to do with anyone else, there is no need for personal remarks like that.

The original question was Why can the UK afford to waste time debating about "same sex marriage".

Whether I am an OAP,go to Thailandis of no consequence.

Gosh, the administrators did well clearimg out pathetic posters.

Have we the same problem again?

I understood the debate was going to be about the rights of two people living together not married having the same rights as a male & female being married.

@ msg 15, mikelapta: (...) debating about "same sex marriage". (...)

▶ Debate?! In tolerant countries this is not a subject of debate for quite some time now.
