We were entertained by Easy G who was an able substitute but monday's at the Courtyard without Brian is like a bacon sandwich without the bacon.

I certainly wouldn't wish anyone ill and therefore sincerely hope that Brian has a speedy and complete recovery.

Having said that, he is, without doubt, the worst entertainer I have EVER had the displeasure of hearing !!

Martinev.

We have had many good nights at the Courtyard listening to Brian Delaney, I think your comment is both wrong and in bad taste.

Get well soon Brian mate.

We are, of course, all entitled to our own opinions but Msg 2 is one of the most gratuitous postings I have come across for a long time.

Brian is still around after to our knowledge 9 years plus. How many other `entertainers` on this island can say the same, apart from Katie B ?

Having been around for 9 years or so, you'd thought of he'd be able to hold a tune at least !!

Still, each to their own.

Needless to say, I was just expressing MY opinion !!

You are entitled to your opinion, but why so offensive, what you said in message 9 would have been more appropriate if you felt the need to express yourself.

I can't say much one way or another other than Brian Delaney was the very first entertainer we every listened to years ago when we first arrived. I think it was at the Courtyard and it was possible to have a meal without having to shout across the table. I think Msg. 2 was a little unkind.

Whilst I'm on the subject of noise. I loathe and despise ALL of the karioki singing and a likewise the rock, soul, imitators, howling banshees that we are subjected to. If I want to hear them (I love heavy metal BTW), then I'll pay to go to a concert.

Why do these people have to assume we are all profoundly deaf and use amps. that are suitable for a 1,000 seater stadium when they are performing in a small bar/restaurant.

When we want go for a meal out I have to spend at least an hour reading C2D to try and find somewhere that we can eat in peace. Unfortunately when we do, then the owner thinks we want his CD player on full blast. It's difficult to win sometimes.

Tango1. I wholeheartedly agree with you about the noise. Incidentally we went to the Courtyard last night knowing that Brian would not be there. The entertainer that was in his place had a very pleasant voice but, unfortunately, did the same as they all do and by the time our meal arrived we could not talk to each other.

Why oh why do they all think that they have to deafen you. Other people also commented on this by the way not just us, so Easy G if you had just kept the volume down, it would have been a very pleasant evening and you do have a good voice.

Well what can one say? Brian has been around for a long time, and he still earns money from singing kareoke sitting down behind a cardboard box!!!!

Hi all, I had a great time filling in for Brian Delaney and wish him a speedy recovery.

I would just like to explain that my usual amp system is currently having a service and am using a newly purchased second hand emergancy replacement, which was giving me trouble with fluctuating sound.

I appologise to all who had an issue with sound quality.

I will be returning to the Courtyard on Friday 30th September with I hope no sound issues.

Re message 7 agreed but at least Katie B stays in touch with the audience! Brian could do well by going to see her and learn how to move around etc!!!!

We've seen Brian Delaney many times and have always found him polite and friendly, at Veni Vici in particular he has a great rapport with the audience, both adults and children.

I accept that everyone has different tastes in music but is there really any need for nasty remarks when someone is ill.

We have known Brian for many years and whilst he might not be everyone's cup of tea entertainment wise, he's a very genuine and nice man. He's has also had some serious health issues over the years

Get well soon Brian.
