Shayna noise nuisance - far reaching!

Is anybody else totally fed up with the continual noise from Shayna? They say it can be heard in Esentepe! The thump, thump, thump of the base can drive you insane. Can anything be done about it?

No problems in catalkoy to be honest. Plus its a business and has a short season to earn a few quid and to keep the few tourists we get happy.



But in saying that i do have good quality PVC double glazing

Think you will find it is not shayna but Cornaro beach club, on a Fri and Sat night, shut your windows have a drink and put the air con on. Season will be over very soon !!!!!!!

We have the same problem with Beyond nightclub in Kervansary - can be heard booming out until 4am in the morning. Despite many letters to the authorities it still continues apace. Just have to put the aircon on and close the windows

Whether it's Cornaro or Shayna we could sing along with the music, and hear the DJ shouting with the DOUBLE GLAZED PVC windows closed and the aircon on full pelt. So next time we'd better have the bottle of something strong beforehand and hopefully pass out!!! Is that what you mean Mikeythespark?

Baffles me that people complain about music / noise when they live in touristic areas.



In any outdoor venue sound will travel - also the set up of Island is accoustic heaven with the mountains bouncing the sound.



One solution MAYBE is to point the speakers out to sea where the fish can enjoy the BASS and SOLE music ;)

We live within a mile of Shayna and we are not disturbed by them.

I got shot down last time I commented on someone was winging about the noise on here, but the more you let it wind you up the worse it gets.

If people took time out to find out whats on they would have seen Shayna were having their end of season beach party Saturday and it was scheduled to go on til 0500.

disgusting noise last night tkish female singer shouting and yelling past 2am no excuses i'm miles away in Catalkoy and young enough to usually not care but last night was extreme level of noise with zero regard for anybody!!

I too live in Catalkoy & I hear the noise from both Shayna or Cornaro or maybe both, every weekend in summer. It's mainly the bass that disturbs us. Thump, thump, thump.

I suspect those that don't hear it do not live downwind of the noise & perhaps to the west of the venues. We are also some miles away as well, but to the South east of Cornaro beach on the mountain side of the main road.

It's the same issue with noise from the main road. it does depend which way the breeze/wind is blowing. I have been much nearer to the main road, but on the North side & towards the sea & not heard any road noise at all during the day, even though I've been closer to the road than at home.

Having said all that, once we go to bed with the windows shut & the A/C on, the noise from the clubs doesn't disturb us, but it would if the windows were open.

However, nobody should be forced to run the A/C at this time of the year to block out the noise, especially when it goes on until 5am sometimes.

My point exactly a few weeks ago. why do i have to have high electric bills because of them? Why cant they just keep the volume down and still have a good time?

We are up by Ani Restaurant near Malpas, and I think the noise may not affect sea side residents ,but is sent straight up to mountain side residents. Well winter is on its way so we'll be cosy as toast soon and will find something else to whinge about !!!

By the way this is Mary, wife of Sparky. Sparky never moans about anything !!!!

It just seems an awful shame that people have to resort to having expensive A/C on though doesn't it? I hate A/C and don't put ours on. We're fan people and have them all over the place and on the ceilings.
