What a night in Girne

We have never seen the town square so crowded as it was last night.

The entertainment was 1st class, and the Ottoman Marching Band were awesome.

It was good to note that there is some real talent in the KKTC!!!!

Thank you to all who came... yes it was an awesome night.... all the bars full and the Ramadan Cemil Square buzzing... young and old dancing... and a pair of dogs!!!



nice to see about 500+ happy people having lots of fun.



The The Festival Liners, opened the show and the Ottoman marching band bought all communities together, The Phoenix Line Dancers put their all into their sessions, then Stringfellow... got the dancing started.... Emma pushed the night on.... Jonnie and the Jets... well what can you say... Ramadan Cemil Square packed with dancing happy poeple shouting for more and more... this is the start of a week packed with entertainment at this standard and even better in the Amphitheatre, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.



Special thanks to Maggie, you were a star on and off stage, Can for joining in and your interpretation from Turkish to English, and Gerry Berry not seen much but boy behind stage you are a genius, even after and before walking 10000 miles!!!!!

Thanks Richard for asking us to dance. We were pleasantly surprised at the large number of spectators already there when we were opening the show and thanks too to all those there who gave us such a great reception.

we had to leave relatively early but have to say the Ottaman Marching Band were terriffic & whilst not fully understanding the meaning of the songs in the square they meant an awful lot to the the local audience. Brilliant
