I am thinking of getting this system, but I need some help/advice/answers.



What do I need in TRNC and whats required in the UK?



One important question, if I try and change channels over here, will it affect what someone will be watching in the UK?



Does anyone here have this sytem working?

Strangely enough, Hans told me to contact Mark, which I did, but got no response. Perhaps he never got my email, or I used an old email address.



They also have a bit of history since Mark was banned from your (and Hans) new forum.

The only reason I suggested Hans was because he was using a Slingbox system supplied by Mark but I will talk to Hans and see if he will provide you with info.

IF you want to receive UK TV in CY using this product you need a FAST upload - to SEND the signal



IF you can get BT Infinity this MIGHT give you what you need ..if anyone wants to ask Q's re this on this thread - welcome.

Does an 11- year old Sky box with expired viewing card pick up more channels in NC than a cheap Free Sat box when linked to 1.8 m dish tuned to Astra2?

Clarissa, I used a German made freesat box and a Sky box when we toured France.The sky box had a non expired card BUT the German box brought in lots more channels.

I used to watch F1 on RTL, which to my profound fury has now disappeared for the reason unknown.

So I will be trying to tune to RTL again.

No fun without F1!

1/ a BLUE SKY card is useless - if you take it out - nothing will change



2/ an expired WHITE card might change the regional BBC / ITV / C4 you'd get, on a 4.2m



3/ If you buy a Freesat from SKY card - it will allow you to add a strong ITV and SKY 3 to the line up which WILL work ( for now ! ) in Cyprus on a 1.8m
