Msg.1 Thats the end of the diet then I gather. Have to admit my ignorance and say I've never heard of that make. Is there anything special about them as ours is beginning to be a tad shabby and I'll be on the lookout for a new one before long.

They are especially expensive!

I too would like one but dont think the toast tastes any different, they sell them in M&S on the other side but think the 2 slice is around 100 euro, not seen a 4 slice there.

Tango1.............. I am looking for a toaster ( toast approx 100 calories per slice) not a deep fat fryer/doughnut maker or chocolate fountain!

Having spent in the region of £300 in the last 10 years on toasters which generally last 1 year or less the Dualit seems to be the answer. On average they last 10-15 years and all parts are readily available, easy to fit and reasonable cost. That aside they are a very nice looking piece of kit.

Dualit toasters are very good- they are used in many professional sandwich bars etc & you can purchase spare parts when necessary instead of throwing it in the bin!

I am also looking to buy one so many thanks for the contact details

Pippie has a stall at Lambousa Market on Saturday mornings. I also saw her at the Pine Bay car boot sale last Sunday!

Hi everyone, someone tracked me down. I've just logged on quickly to answer this post but not planning to stay logged on long as I've got work to do so if anyone wants me, please come along on Saturday at Lambousa, I'll be trying out the Pine Bay market on Sunday, or give me a call.

We don't have many 4 slice toasters left at the moment. They seem to be the more popular but we will have some, and others, on the stall on Saturday. Dualit, I definitely have only 2 slice and there's only 1 of those left.

If anyone wants to drop me a line, call me on 0542 878 5442.

Just think, if you had have bought a 4 slice toaster, you could have toasted 130 slices an hour. (According to John Lewis web site)!!

Tango1, I am happy with the 120 slices per hour the 2 slice toaster produces - just enough for a snack!
