Hi, yes she is quite an entertainer..this time she has 3 of her session musicians over from the Kk to back her, should be quite a performance. For those who think "Blues" is all about misery, she makes sure it ain't ! tonyE

Yes, 25tl for the night, show starts at 7.30 on Friday 23 Sept. There are 3 bands on that evening playing their version of blues so should be good entertainment. If the storm comes this weekend the venue will change from the amphitheatre to one of the larger Girne hotels (Plan B). Info will be posted here and on the website http://www.girnefestival.com. Tickets are available on the night or from Ozankoy Bookshop, George's Cafe in the Square, and Saban Joe's Music Shop Karakum. TonyE

Please note that the venue for this has now changed to the Jasmine Court hotel because of the high risk of rain. All other details remain the same.

Re message 13 passionflower check out the BBC forecast, reason enough to move indoors? I have organised many music events over the years and would not like to be holding the 'sticky' end of the stick if organising this event. At least it has not been cancelled, yes we too were looking forward to seeing Bex in the amphitheatre, but hey ho the show must go on. Hopefully Saturday will still be ok for the amphitheatre. Agree with you on the drinks prices, like you say the Pia Bella have managed to keep them at a resonable price this year and presented great shows. http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/4205

Re message 16, yes I did take a look at that and checked when it was updated, I have also looked at other forecast sites, chances are it may miss Cyprus altogether, but it is a huge weather front and moving in the direction of the Eastern Med. When we attended the Blues Festival a couple of years ago at the Jasmine Court the drink prices were ok, but can't remember the precise cost then. Lets hope their aircon works well.

There will be seating and NO smoking inside the conference room, but if you want to smoke outside the room you will still be able to hear the concert. We are at this present time at Jasmine Court and talking bar prices, will notify you when we know what they will be. Passionflower, if you want your money back, ring Richard next week and we will get the refund to you no problem.

Just so everyone is certain: Bex Marshall, The Band and Serdar Tuksal will be playing tomorrow night at GIRNE AMPHITHEATRE. Doors will open at 6pm for a 7:30 start. Sorry, but no food or drink allowed to be taken in. There will be a bar and snacks on sale at very reasonable prices. You can take a brolly if you're worried about rain. This is not Bex as you may have seen her before, singing in a pub with jus her guitar: she's brought her whole touring band - it's going to be a great show!
