Sentstiv.

Clarify please are you suggesting that you can set up a company here in the TRNC without a 51% controlling share held by a Turkish Cypriot?

Thank you in anticipation.

If a foreigner registers a company, does that foreigner have to have a work permit or a temporary resident permit?

Hi have replied to emails that have been sent through to me sorry if I can't answer all your questions just reply as someone who has been through the process.

My reply isn't anything to do with the original poster just my experience.

We did not have work permits when we started the company registration process. Best advise is use a good accountant ours helped us throughout the whole process.

Yes, message 7, I sent an e mail and have had no reply. Maybe cyberspace is being unkind, or maybe the recipient is on overload, but...... no reply.

I have a company without any Cypriot involved. It costs a bit more to set up but is worth it. I have a business permit in my passport as the director as does the secretary.

Rachw......you need to see an accountant. Where are you based? We use Metin Guven who is near to Kamelya florist and not far from the Bellapais traffic lights.

Hi Crofter,

Does your accountant speak good English and is he/she up to date with current regs?

Our accountant is not so good and we're thinking about changing. Although they do most things we expect, we seem to have to prompt them about everything that needs to be done and it always seems to be on the last minute with them which involves us doing a lot of running around, and every time we ask about regulations they're not so sure, sometimes they check and still get it wrong!

What are your monthly acct fees if you don't mind me asking and do they sort your PAYE, Social Sigorta payments and monthly KDV returns as well as yr end tax return?

Thanks.

There are no limitations as long as you have the right qualifications where necessary. I use Sezinler & Co accountants near to Deniz Plaza on the road to Girne. They charge 400tl a month and do everything for me and speak English.

Wiser, that sounds very expensive, did you shop around and does that seem to be the going rate in Girne? We pay just 290tl per month after KDV.

You say they do everything for you. Is there anything over and above the following that they do for their fee:

PAYE, Social Sigorta payments, monthly KDV returns as well as yr end tax return, helping out with organising business and work permits, and answering any other day to day questions regarding running your business or tax issues. All of this is included in the fee we pay.

Thanks.
