deb,

Evelyn (pools on the board) has had parcel delivered to I think the TNT office in Nic, she can give you details- 'cyprusacart@yahoo.com', or go and ask her, very helpful, she is below what used to be Woody's in Alsancak.

But to be sure, you can have parcels delivered to the DHL office in Engomi in the south and if you pre arrange with them they will hold it for you to collect, but you need to go see them first to arrange.

Don't think I would chance a parcel via the normal post to the north, I have heared of loads going awal.

Good luck

deb There is a DHL office in Lefkosa just past the prison I have been there several times to collect packages, and if arranged they will come to you, last week they met me in Astro car park (I had ID) as they cant find address's to save their lives, but it took 3 working days and you can track it on line as they give you a tracking number. I would ask people to deliver through them, as in 4 years I have only had Bank Statements come through the post, no cards letters etc

has anyone ordered electricals through mail order? was thinking of getting my son an ipod. do cusoms open parcels to check what is in them?i myself have had missing parcels which is really annoying. i know somone over the south who have let me use their address, and have received a parcel which was sent from uk. apparantly it is just the north that is the problem. if a parcel is sent from the uk with dhl, is it more expensive? is there a minimum charge??

Hi fire starter, do you mean the parcels arrive here in the north and if so who delivers?

It seems letter and parcel delivery is a problem, especially at Christmas (?) when many will contain money & presents.

Just a thought,...

Maybe anyone sending items to NC should send them in Official looking Manilla envelopes or parcels with labels or stickers making them look like 'Official', or NC Government deliveries? Maybe put 'Kibtek' stickers on letters etc?

Any suggestions for convincing Turkish wording?
