A few questions re Rock Concert Saturday night

Where is the best place to park? Can we take a picnic and drinks? What time do the main acts start?



Last time we went to a concert there, we found it our BM,s were numb by the end so we would like to go a bit later but not miss anything.

Large car park next to the Amphitheatre, yes you can take a picnic, and be sure to take your own cushion. Main act starts approx 10pm.

We were told you cannot bring your own drinks etc by Cheshire Homes who are organising the event, there will be an Efes stand there if you want to buy a drink, personally I think it would be much better if you could take your own cool box as if you are sitting down the front it will take ages to get to the top to get a drink.

The definitive answer is that no, you cannot take a coolbox. There are signs at the entrance to the venue warning that you cannot take food or drinks into the amphitheatre.

Girne Belediye have donated the use of the amphitheatre free of charge as this is a charity event, but they still have all the expenses to pay, such as electricity, cleaning, etc., so the food and drink concessions are their only way of getting some of this money back.

The drinks in particular are very reasonably priced, so please play the game and don't try to smuggle in food or drinks.

went to Midsummers night dream last night didnt take anthing as you werent even allowed water at UB40 and guess whta nothing not a drop to drink or spare so obviously the belediye only need help with the costs if it is something that draws a large crowd!!!!

Sorry about that Bertie: the Belediye promised us a bar, but due to an internal lack of communication, the guy who should have been running it didn't turn up. We asked for someone else to come and open the bar, but apparently there's only one key - and guess who had it!

I don't think it's too much to ask people NOT to take food and drink in. We have to give Girne Belly they're due these days, they are going out of they're way to help organisations put on various events. KADS use of the Girne Theatre is a case in point.

Prices at last years concert were very reasonable, the Belediye have confirmed they will be running a bar and food for Friday and Saturday nights

Tickets are available at Cafe George at the top of Girne town in the square, Mardos may still have some if they haven't sold out.
