I've absolutately no problem with someone looking for a specific TOY dog, provided you realise the added problems they bring. They need much more looking after than a moggy type dog. They have to have special diets and if carried too much (which they generally are) eventually they sometimes refuse to walk themselves and have to be retrained. Please also be very careful when you put them on the ground. I know this might sound stupid but as they are so small then have been known to be stood on quite accidentally. They are very often used as a "fashion accessory" and then dumped when people get bored. Check out web sites and there are now organisations speciallising in dumped "toy" dogs. Having said all that, I love all sizes of Yorkshire Terriers - who have minds of their own!!

However, I hope this doesn't mean that one of the so called "dog importers" bring them into KKTC to flog off to people who buy on a whim.

I got ours from south for the reason of having proper certificates and paid alot more then they would cost here. However, you can find ones the needs rehoming on that site I had posted, they just might not be puppies.

If I want a pet,I go to southern part of my motherland, sick of peoples left overs who think they are just for xmas.

I had one when I used to live in Wales, but sadly she is now gone to the great doggie heaven in the sky. I would LOVE another one, but not so easy here, and I doubt I could afford it. Looking after it is not a prfoblem, as I have been there before, it is more a matter of finding and affording. so gtell me more about dumped 'toys'.
