it certainly would'nt be a bar or restaurant or building company! lol. Find a need and fill it! Probably importing gadgets and household items that are hard to come by. eg,my mother bought a little battery operated fan that she kept in her handbag! Not seen any of those over there en mass! a few thousand of them at £10 a pop to start with would be good. Just needs some creative thinking! simplez.

1)buy property (apartments) and rent them out 2) clothes shop that sells fashionable clothes for women bigger than a size 12,so many shops here sell for stick insects, there are plenty of women that are size 16 plus but all clothes made bigger than a size 12 seem to be old granny style ,you could sell larger men clothes too,i hate to see men women wearing clothes far to small for them

Vonny Item 2 Please wıll you ınclude COTTON underwear suitable for hot climates and sensible two piece (because they are easier to change) bathing costumes for the more mature woman and absorbant cover ups (ie THIN towelling) for beach and pool. Meanwhile I will open a shoe shop next door to sell sensible but smart shoes and sandals for women who cant balance on 8 inch heels or wedges, but dont want to look frumpy either

I would'nt invest a single penny on any business in the TRNC... When our thieving goverment understand the basics of how a country should be managed, and eventually realise that the world does not revolve around civil servants, whore house's and casino's.. We may have a chance... Been there done that and the TRNC is not for business and certainly not for outsiders with business ideas, London Cyps included.

Train the stray donkeys (perhaps supplemented by hardier breeds of mountain ponies and cobs for heavier people) for riding and driving and use them to take disabled and elderly people to parts of North Cyprus they cant reach because they cant walk well enouogh.. Also run shuttle service of donkey carts from car parks to shopping centres in pedestrian areas. Maybe breed mules (they are sterile so they wont add to the feral animal population) to carry on the good work of environmentally and ecologically sound transport. Perhaps do pony/donkey holidays to subsidize it.

Stonehousepub, blunt but a very accurate reflection of how it is. Until business is encouraged and support to set up new businesses in the TRNC becomes a priority it will continue in the same vein. Often the London Cyps come with the ability to see many differing viewpoints and experiences and can take the best from both England and Cyprus. Why does the Government not realise this and allow them more input in the decision making process?

or a window cleaning business,i wouldnt think it would cost much for your outlay but you would get yourself regular customers (homeowners) every few weeks they would have their windows washed.(i hate washing windows) you could have a contract with shops and offices too, have you seen the state of some of their windows? but you would have to be prepared to work in some very hot tempertures

Yonny, I know several that have tried this with no success. Those with holiday homes who only visit 4 times yearly or less only want their windows cleaning a few days before arrival or do it themselves on arrival. Those retired have the time to do their own. The shop workers appear to have to do them as part of their job role.
