Perhaps if you said which charity, there may be someone who would do it.

That's sad isn't it? Somebody would help out one charity but turn down another, despite the fact they may have the skills. BTW, I don't recognise the phone number at all.

well, I agree with msg no 2 in the sense that more information is always helpful. My company could for example sponsor such an effort but we need to know details so that we have an understanding what kind of a work is required. @Tango1, if my company has time to build 2 of such websites for charities, are you suggesting that I do not have the right the choose which ones I like to help, or are we supposed to build them all websites not none at all? Your observation and statement is flawed. K.

Thank you kbasat. It was a prefectly innocent remark that may help to find a volunteer, more information is always useful. In fact I was trying to help.

I know of someone who might be persuaded to volunteer, but I really would want to know what the charity is (I thought I knew them all!) before I would even dare ask him. difficult to ask someone to consider doing a favour when you don't know for whom .

I too may be willing to offer resource from which the site can be hosted, at no charge and / or limited web site building , though such it is not a core skill of mine so what I could do would be limited but may be sufficent. However I too would have to know what the charity is, who is involved in running it and the like before be able to say yes or no to either or both things (free hosting / website building).

Msg. 4, I realise that I didn't word my remarks as they were meant to appear. What I was trying to say, I think it would be a pity if there was somebody out there with the skills and knowhow to build up a web site who was reading the thread thinking "I'll offer my services if its a childrens charity - but I won't if it's an old peoples charity" Can you see where I'm coming from?
