Why is it that the south of the island now wants to own all of the Island Once Again? 34 years have passed of peace and tranquillity in the north . Newspaper reports over the years reporting that the pyriah state as they called it was a horrible place to live. No one in the south give a damn! Untill the borders were relaxed. And slowly but surely , more people visit the North and realise . Heh! what a beautifull part of the Island this is .suddenly every one in the south have someone in there family which owned properties in the north to which they say someone has stolen . and yes you got it . they now want it back.

You've got it in one. Many people in the south do have properties in the north which they want back. Perhaps that will give you some idea of why they want the Turkish army and settlers out of Cyprus and rightly point out that their being on the island is illegal.

But what about the Turkish People who have land and property in the South. Very little is mentioned about this, they have lost their rights also.
