My mother and father taught me not to pay more than I have to for anything. Now as a pensioner I'm shocked at how some people think that money saving is a joke. If you use a litre of milk a day and save 55 kurus each time that's 200TL a year, just for a carton of milk!

Ok, I'll let you in on my secret!

I bought Özlem from Erdener in Karakum yesterday. I expected 1.50 but when checked my receipt it came in at 1.39.

They were also advertising tomatoes at 0.69 yesterday but when I passed today it was showing at 0.49 per kilo.

Ozlem milk at Erulku ( near the airport ) is 1.30TL and thats only just gone up from 1.15TL.
