we brought ours from the south.. met the parents . went to the dog shows with the rotti club and picked ours from a choice of two litters .. when they are 8 weeks old they fit nicely into the foot hold area. ac on and they sleep the whole way thru. icemans correct. they arnt cheap but you know what your getting and they are superb examples of this breed. worth a look. tasos the owner speaks good english .. good luck .

I know this is probably irrelevant to the post but by any chance would you any male pitbull owners ? Tiger striped ? Or blue nose puppies ?

Know this is not a Rottweiler, but this poor wee pup is desperately needing a loving home and looks a wee bit like a Rotty?

If you get the breeder to do all the jabs and paperwork then you can bring it from the south legally. Just make an application at the quarantine department.

I would just like to point out, that for some breeds, it is essential to remove the tail, particulary working dogs. Mostly because they are too thin, and beating about a bush is likely to break and or shatter the tail, causing untold pain and anguish for the dog.

If it is done correctly, there shouldn't be any problem...kind of like removing the foreskin off a baby...but if done incorrectly, really is quite barbaric. However, the snipping of ears, really really is a disgusting practice, there is absolutely no beneficial reason for this whatsoever.

why should ear cropping (NOT snipping) be barbaric & disgusting practice? some breeds such as dobermann was meant to be cropped..They are working dogs and croppping makes their ear more functional & natural.

Done under anaesthesia by a qualified Vet in clinical enviroment, it is no more painfull than spaying...

As for the benefical uses of cropping..dogs with cropped ears have no ear inection problems like dogs with floppy/hanging ears.

My Shar Pei suffered all his life with ear problems because he had small ears, as all Shar Pei do.

My vet in the UK recommended ear cropping but because it was illegal even for vets in the UK to perform, she couldn't do it. It would have saved him a lot of suffering. She was a South African vet who cared about health more than vanity.

So i personally have no problem with docking or cropping, depending on the reasons behind it.
