Hi everyone the panto at the Lambousa this year is Aladdin, and it is the best production ever, it is so funny, so if you have not got your tickets yet, hurry down to the Lambousa market on Saturday for your reservations. You can also book pre show meals too

No, it's the one with the 'keeper of the ring' in it.

In real life he's from 'ull.

Performance times are 2/3 Dec doors open 1830 performance 1930.

There are matinees on 5/6/7 Dec not too sure of timings but box office number can confirm.

Evening performances on 8/9/10 Dec doors open 1830 performance 1930.

If your looking for a good chuckle come along and enjoy, as the rehearsals have been hilarious.

I understand that Lambousa Gordon applied for the 'ring piece' part but given his recent operation it was not thought feasible for obvious reasons!!

Have you ticket still available for the 10th as I was told that all the tickets for this show had been sold. I had tickets booked by a friend but he sold them by mistake to someone else.

Wot! No me as Widow Twankey. Maybe it was all wrong having a Victoria/victor/Victoria - but haven't they done it again this year. I shall stay away as I cherish the memory of a fab panto on a tight budget with a great team. Yea, four years ago, but still fresh in the mind.

But I hope you all (metaphorically) break a leg! Just wish I had some kids to bring.

Obviously have camera will not travel and no notes taken (as quoted in another thread re Green Palace)? Surely the pantomine is worth covering in the Star?

Very observant message 20 and spot on! In answer to your second sentence, yes indeed, but I suspect that one of the super camera men will be there for the Pleasure zone pics, on the grounds that a picture is worth a thousand words.

Marion you could come along as an audience member and join in the raffle where the proceeds go to a different charity each performace.

Nice idea decanddyl - been there, and still am, and I hope that the raffle is well supported. There are some fab charities here and they all do fab jobs.By the way, what I meant to add to my earlier posting is that when I said that the Panto would go in the pleasure Zone in the paper, the other couple if found would be candidates for a new Displeasure zone!

Marion, did you audition for a panto part with this present theater group and didn't get it, Do I suspect sour grapes ?

I think you would have made a terrific Twankey, you could go and hiss and boo.

Re Msg 24: Lambousa Theatre Capacity

With tables for dining or for drinks total 250 pax but allowing for sight-lines 210-220 pax.

Theatre-seating without tables 300-350 pax depending on sight-lines.

Both of the above include the balcony seats.

Conference facilities (the room adjoining the theatre) upto 400 pax depending on seating arrangements.

to Bally Murphy, no I did not go and audition this time and there are no sour grapes. I enjoyed being Widow Twankey four years ago here with KADS. I could certainly hiss and boo but I enjy doing it from the stage not at the stage.

Many of the people connected with our cheaper version of Aladdin the other year are gone. One brilliant girl who was subsequently in Wizard of oz is gone. things change. And I am happy with the past, thanks, and don't have any time at the moment to attend the lengthy rehearsals, even if I had auditioned and was offered any part. I personally think it is a shame that they are doing aladdin again when there are so many more pantomimes that could have been done just as well.

Given the multiplicity of feral cats wherever I go to dine, Dick Whittington would have been good ....

Hmmmmmm, Riddles, maybe it should be an adapted version of The Pied Piper of Hamlin, rather than Dick Whittington, unless you put all the puss in one boot.

Maybe we could have a Nofrth Cyprus original next year with one specially written for the fairytale conditions here. Should be a sell out I reckon. Are you ready to write it?
