The Speaker of the TRNC Parliament Hasan Borer has strongly reacted to statements made by the President of the Greek Cypriot House of Representatives Yannakis Omirou who said “the TRNC should be disposed in order to share the natural resources on the island”. Bozer said Omirou has no right or authority to speak about the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

The Speaker of the Parliament Hasan Bozer issued a written statement responding to the latest statements made by the President of the Greek Cypriot House of Representatives Yannakis Omiru.





He said Mr. Omirou’s statement was the continuation of Greek Cypriot attitude and behaviour towards usurping the rights of Cyprus Turks adding that this was unacceptable.

Pointing out that the Greek Cypriot side with the same usurping mentality had ousted the Cyprus Turks from the partnership republic in 1964, Mr. Bozer said despite all efforts by the Greek Cypriot side to disregard the Cyprus Turks, the TRNC was declared on the 15th of November 1983 with the will of people.





He also added that the TRNC is more legal and legitimate than the so called ‘Cyprus Republic’.

In 1963 the GC's tore up the Zurich treaty that made the roc a state in the first place – how can they be legal?
