Where do you stand on allowing former drug cheats back into competition?

My stance is - never, anyone caught cheating - life ban no appeal. How else can the young learn to keep themselves 'clean'?

Agree with you entirely. The floodgates are open now for sports people to do exactly what they like without any significant consequences.

The punishment should be an enforced fatal overdose of whatever substance they used to cheat with. As the cheating involves professionals and monetary gain every case should be tried as fraud in courts of law. I long ago ceased to watch or follow drug aspirated sports such as athletics, cycling, wrestling, swimming etc and individual sportsmen who have a physique which obviously could not have been gained in a gym or by hard training. Some of these "incredible bulks" make "The Incredible Hulk" look anorexic !

When you say DRUGS the drugs the 'cheats' use are the same as we all use in our food, drinks and energy bars. So no let them in

What about that Scottish skier who won a medal in the winter olympics and had it taken off him because of a Vicks nasel inhaler, perfectly legal in the UK but the one he bought in Canada had different ingredients in it,forever classed as a cheat by the olympic committee, and by some of you apparantly :(

Five-time Olympic gold medallist Sir Steve Redgrave believes drug cheats should be permanently banned from competing at the Games after American LaShawn Merritt recently overturned his own ban.

Merritt won an appeal against an International Olympic Committee doping law last Thursday, and the outcome has seen British sprinter Dwain Chambers consider appealing against his own ban from the event.

Chambers was found guilty of using performance-enhancing drugs in 2003 and Redgrave says the British Olympic Association should hold firm on its current ruling that he cannot compete at London 2012.
