Last weekend and again this weekend I have had a problem downloading to my Kindle. Have had Amazon sort the problem last weekend only for the same to happen again this weekend and now hubbie's kindle is having the same problem.

The book appears in ghost writing in the archive section and can't be accessed.

The order confirmation appears in my e mails.

The kindle says I have a strong wireless connection but a pop up says the kindle is unable to connect to wireless at this time!

I reboot the Kindle and lose my archive.

GRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!



Tonight I cannot access the amazon site, is there an internet/wireless problem. We are with extend (Not for much longer) and the connection is so slow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any ideas anyone?

I had problems with Amazon as well yesterday, unable to get into the site! We are also with Extend and it seems a problem always at the weekend it is slower. When we asked why, we were told "more people are using it"!! But no problems downloading kindle once Amazon was back up.

Thanks everyone, no change in the situation here and I have just spoken to a friend in Ozankoy and she is having the same problem!

Last week amazon told me it was a problem with one of their servers. Looks like another day of the same as they won't be able to sort it till Monday.

I have a 3G Kindle and having no problems at all. It is definately worth paying that little bit extra for 3G if anyone out there is thinking of buying a Kindle.

Have been told that is all to do with the cisco guard in Turkey used by extend for security.

It's being looked into says Deniz at extend.

It's odd that only some of us are affected but also frustrating as I cannot access my purchased books but am still being billed for them!

It is also preventing me from getting into other sites, amazon being one of them, which means I cannot liaise with them over the problem.

can't get onto the M&S site either but hubby thinks that's probably a good thing!

Also with Extend, had same problem last weekend but Amazon told me to close down Kindle then restart, downloads then came through with no further problems. Good luck.

Did that last week, Raymond, and several times this week.

Still no joy!

Looks like I will be back at the library this week
