This is to all that have something bad to say about the TRNC.....

Do your Research BEFORE u spend you think to invest in this country! and my advice you would be stupid to buy property in this country! as from loads of threads am reading You've all been ripped off in some kind of form! thats what happens when u DO NOT do your reserch my friends! i myself and turkish cypriot born and raised in the uk & i CAN NOT get used to the ways in the TRNC So don't even bother thinking YOU can! You see i know better, then to spend ridiclous amounts of money on property like yourselfs, but then again you know for the price here you can not own a property like that in the uk lol so your all fooled! There's alot of Good builders out there but i'm still not willing to buy because of CYPRUS 44! all the british have come on here BAD naming compaines and giving peoples names (To the ones who do this i would be very carefull if i wear you if you are living in the TRNC as Turks DO NOT take criticism Cont

There are some good and honest developers around. For example Noyanlar or Dovec Construction (both Famagusta) have always delivered on time and always pass on the title deeds without any fuss.

There maybe some good honest developers around, but for non TC's who have to wait for PTP before any good honest developer can hand over the deeds sometimes for years, the risk of what can happen in those intervening years, just isn't worth it!

NO DEEDS NO MONEY! Nowhere else in the world, but the TRNC would you pay your money years before you can legally own your house!

I have read this post a few times and initially thought that the writer was complaining about the number of buyers bad mouthing builders. However I think the poster is actually saying it is not safe to buy in the TRNC and that even though he is a British TC he would not risk buying.

Is it a genuine warning to be careful or a threat? I'm not sure.

Message 8, you do not rule anything, where did you get the idea from that the Brits rule. This is not your country so follow the rules like the rest of us. Strange how much damage the human brain can get from the continous search for cheap beer and cheap sunday roast

Deniz2012 - wonderful advice - pity it is so late in the day. So easy to be wise after the event. No one is bad mouthing NOrth Cyprus, just some of the people which includes Turkish Cypriots, Turks and some Brits. YOu see we are equal opportunity complainers.

So you havent't lost anything, why do you find it so offensive that people with real problems complain? Does it effect you, does it stop you sleeping at night, effect your life style in the UK. Thought not

Same old chestnut about doing your homework and buying cheaply. Deniz2012 just count your blessings and leave us have none to count our losses. What a very compassionate person you must be.

I'm further confused by message 11:

Whereas a recent post on another thread went something like:

"I can't wait until I'm in North Cyprus...............................................etc.

I'm baffled

The brits and the eu have big plans for north cyprus, I am highly ranked in the british community council and we are hoping to make some big changes in this interim country.

I have worked very hard for many years to make sure north cyprus maintains cypriot and british values.

The bcc are in talks with the interim government to build more churches, and promote a more modern british style of life on this side of this higly blessed island.

Thankyou

Ooops please dont let this go the way of so many topics.

Here we have someone who probably is a builder, trying to fool us by saying dont buy, but also saying stop bad mouthing the TRNC. Strange message really, because if we hadn't bought, we probably would have nothing to complain about.

Message 26, you have hit the nail on the head, methinks both post 1 and steelee77 are in cahoots as both posts do not add up at all.

Post 1 what is your rationale? People here who bought and I am one, did our homework and did not just buy after a couple of EFES!. Yes there are some excellent builders who provide an excellent service, sadly they are in the minority. As for your comment regarding this forum- get a life, if you cannot take criticism then get out the kitchen!! I do not have to delve anymore as so so so many people are being ripped off and we BRITISH believe in FREE SPEECH so jibing on Cyprus44 is our way of informing people and letting of steam.

Steele77, Britain has NEVER shown any interest in Northern Cyprus , I met the Ambassador at a function in the South and when I told him I live in the North he blanked and ignored me all night as if I was an alien , yes he was damn right rude. So if what you are saying is true lets start seeing some evidence!!!!!

From personal experience I am in agreement with all posts - it would appear that builders have overstretched themselves and refuse to honour contracts signed and witnessed. I am being advised to find a lawyer and take action against the company who have let us down and am currently getting info on other people in the same situation to make a stronger case.

Well i happen to be a close friend of the ambassador, so i'll be more than happy to ask him about your sad experience, i do believe he has recently been through a very costly divorce, so you could have approached him at the wrong time.

We are working very hard with the ambassador and the people of north cyprus to try and create some real status for all races living in this interim country, until the situation is involved.

The bcc have become the voice of all, and we are the only organisation the percentage government will respond to.

If your interested in coming to one of our lesser functions please come to the cream bar about 9pm on fridays.

Devondaisy. be very careful, suing a builder who has nothing achieves just that - nothing and if like me you get memorandums to secure your case and then find the Tapu will not act on them for you, you are still left with nothing and in my case, your villa taken too.

Make sure the legal case will yield you soemthing or you are just throwing good money after bad.

Apparently there are now very many cases from here going to the ECHR, K5's was just the beginning.

So, after 33 posts was Deniz2012 post a figment of my imagination or was it something OI dreamed of? Such a strong post (cut in half as if shot by someone), and not a single response by the thread starter!

Message 35,

The event I went to in question was in 2008 and Ambassador was there with his wife, in fact she was more diplomatic than him.

Ok so you claim that your Group is the ONLY GROUP the 'percentage Government' will listen to, so what are they doing then ?? As many homebuyers are facing ruin etc do not see the 'percentage government' doing anything so please DO tell us whats happening or action being taken instaed of just being a namedropper !!

Lets see some facts not just fiction and EFES talking!!

If I see something credible I will be the first person to eat humble pie and apologise but until then you are making yourself a target for further ridicule!

I have to be careful in what i am saying, as there are many debates in progress, i'm sure you can understand that, it's always very hard when your high up in political matters.

What i will say is the talks are going very well with the british government and leaders of the un. We are hoping the next step is to have a british interim government to take care of north cyprus, as we slowly get both sides to interact with each other.

Please understand the objective is to keep cyprus for cypriots, and we are working very hard for the good of the island.

thankyou

and, as such, is obviously privy to highly confidential, (secret) things. Unlike us mere plebs.

I give you my word fellow ex pats within five years every village in north cyprus will have a Gregs and every shop must sell the sun, star, and daily sport, if not the owner could get a big fine or up to two years in prison.

Also jd sports and inter sport will be set up to create chav appeal, and the latest range in shell suits which will go down well with our ex pats from the north of england. Child support housing allowance will be provided and cans of lynx for taxi drivers.

Well the new BCC headquarters is likely to be in catalkoy or alsancak, so you will get to have your say. My name is steven lee and there will be an informal opening night for anyone with an eu passport.

I'll look forward to hearing from you all soon .

There is a BCC in Lisbon, Argentina, Istanbul ad many other countries, so it does exist as an organisation (check with Google), but what on earth this bloke has to do with them I don't know. Can't spell, can't type properly, bad syntax and doesn't know when to use capitals. He may be "close to the Ambassador" but he doesn't have a lot going for him as far as I'm concerned.

Well Stelee77,

You have chosen this time to unmask yourself, WHY?

People here as in other countries need to be reassured about things ie Homebuyers, what has the BCC been doing about that and when can one find anything concrete in what you say?

Dear co-members of C(heating)44: if you don't recognise - yet or still - the style of some posters with more than one identity here I pity you. Many well meaning members are replying to liars, who only post to make trouble or "have fun".

The first rule on this board should be: DO NOT reply to first time posters. If they are genuine posters they will be back.

Don't believe me?

Dozens of first timers on this board NEVER came back with another question after they had their fun fooling you.

Use this boards search engine to find them.

You may ask why they do it. I don't know. But whatever: take yourself and this board seriously - don't join Nigel Watson's (banned-for-life "littlenige", plus all his dozens of other illegal nicknames on this board) cheating game.

P.S. The moderators of C44 must know as much as I do or even more - WHY DON'T YOU DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT?!

I was not aware there were other BCC groups, I think the best thing you can do is meet me in person at the new hq very soon, all ex pats will be made aware of this meeting, being eu funded you will be very impressed with the set up, the problem we have is the stats show that north cyprus is only 12th on the unsafe to buy list. However what we will do is educate people on how to buy and what to avoid, 89 % of the problem is cheap off plan property with a fancy brochure that sucks people in, we need to create awareness but the BCC does regard north cyprus a fairly safe place to buy.

I also plan over time to give developers star ratings based on buyers getting deeds and development completions, to help you buyers make there choice if they chose off plan.

Until the eu can get a grip on the whole situation we are limited to what we can do, but i give you my word me and my team will do everything in our power to make it a better place.

I am afraid i have been advised to say no more. thank

Woodspeckie, you are not the first one trying to be a decent member berated etc. But we shouldn't give up. There are some really mentally sick people on C44 and the Moderators don't see it or don't want to see it for reasons unknown to me. I have my ideas about the whole sad affair but I know that writing it here will mean a ban. Or will it? Is there a Moderator (most of them living outside of Northern Cyprus) interested in views from people living HERE?

Message 73....if what you write and know is correct information then a ban should not take place. I thought it even par with the Moderators. Simbas and Harold in UK and Ismet and No.1Doyen in NC. Who else is there?

Why don't you also do what everyone else is always told to do and write to the Forum Admin with your information.

Just a question, its not meant to offend but I know that many are double ids and I just play along with it... no skin off my nose as the saying goes ...

But would like to know why you say such when you had double id ???

Why don't you ask me how I've tried to fight the abuse of this board in the past years? I could show you emails to board manager/owner Izzet Zorlu (and text messages to his private mob phone number). There is no real interest to make this board a platform for normal, mentally healthy people.

P.S. Moderator No1Doyen (Bill) lives in London and is only in TRNC for a couple of weeks a year. And so is the friendly lady Simbas and her colleague Harold. Elko2 is only active on this board when his daughter (furniture) or his own electrical business is concerned. Let's not tell each other faity tales any longer.

Well DC, I did not know that No.1Doyen lives in UK, very surprised so only one is Ismet in NC. I also have written to 2 Moderators back in July and still waiting for a reply on the same subject as yourself. Unfortunately one of the e mails I deleted but still have the other to prove also. So pointless trying to kick a cat then!!!!

DC,

msg 81,even for you that last paragraph was a bit below the belt.

I,and I'll wager others will agree that Ismet is the most 'moderate' and unbiased of moderators, even if we don't agree.

Look at the writing style of msg 87,the later into the night we go the more this 'banned member' lets his guard slip, especially the spelling and punctuation, and I'm not talking about littlenige.

I'm careful, although at my age I don't have to think about people who write words like you did. Plenty of young Cypriot Turkish people available, at first request, to discuss any problem you may have or would like to raise. Be careful what you suggest.

By some peoples logic soon i'll be a cyprus brit and no longer english.

I don't attack north cyprus business's like you, and i'll your doing right now is trying to make this more than it is to take the shine of yourself as the biggest tit on the forum.

Not fair Hans. Out of a total of 3769 posts I bet any reference to Smart Plus Furniture or Elko Products is only a very small proportion and most of that is helpful explanations rather than advertising.

PS: Smart Plus moved farther up the road this week, nearer to Malpas. I think opposite Tempo or thereabouts. I have not seen it myself yet.
