Have been contacted by BRT radio for interview re my marathon run for tomorrow.



Lee, could you advise on here and maybe via e.mail on Ismail`s latest condition so that I have some info to give them. Thanks

Hi Loose Boots.



Havn't spoken with Ismail or his dad in about 2 weeks. So no news is good news.



Last time we spoke with Ismail he was happy and laughing, is normal little bright self. Quite oblivious to his trauma.



He is having a rest period due to the amount of chemo and treatment he has undertaken.



We think approx 4 months, but they are monitoring the cancer, hopefully if it remains dormant Ismail will have a bone marrow transplant about 6,000 T.L. (not via the insurance) but what ever you raise can hopefully will be set aside for this.



The reason it is not covered by the insurance is because his little brother Yusuf who is only 3 and a suitable donor is not insured.



Then all being well They will try to operate to remove the growth, but I believe it is on or near a main artery, I have also been informed that due to the difficulty of the op. it may have to be done in Europe.



This is how I understand the situation to be at present. CTD.

As you can imagine Ismail'd dad and myself talking his difficult due to the language problem.



But we cope, However there are times when Yasin and I could have used some proffesional help.

What lovely people at BRT.



Was made to feel very welcome and at ease and had a pre film chat to calm nerves , do sound check and generally go over how we were going to do interview.



Jan, I think it was, very nice man and prob spelt his name wrong was very good and said we are just having a chat................



We were an hour almost chatting.



The programme apparently goes out on Saturday and can be watched on line.
