you can buy one online monthly with different 'packages' at different prices. See here and the sky go monthly option

http://www.sky.com/shop/tv/sky-go/get-it-now/

or

you can 'borrow' one from an existing sky user, as long as they trust you and do not use it themselves. Every sky subsciber gets access to sky go as part of their subscription, but most do not use the service. The person 'lending' you their account details must trust you because with same details you can change thier subscription to a more expensive one and order movies and the like. 'Borrowing' an account like this is against the terms and conditions so the above is a 'theoretical' solution.

Not all content is available for 'live' streaming and non live streaming whilst generally ok can have its glitches. Its not as relaible as iplayer for instance but there is a download option for non live content.

I'd be VERY careful about sharing a sky id as if the user forgets to be "in the UK" the whole account could be closed.. bearing in mind you appear to be in TURKEY

If you are not showing as being in the UK then you can not even log into an account.

Clearly such use it against the terms and conditions of the sky service, but even attempts to connect to it outside of the UK could be genuine users simply trying it when outside of the UK themselves. I doubt sky would disconnect an account for this.

Sure, and this might be fine if you live permanently in 'TRNC' but if you go back and forth the MAC address of the pc will be known... as you say we don't know how rigorous SKY police this..

The sky go online service does limit access to 2 devices. Users can change the devices once per month. Details here

Hi Evryone good morning my post is directed at the Company advertising in blue and yellow print at the top of the page telephone number 05428585785.

There has been numerous posts on this and related points all of which has been interesting but as an IT novice I am still lacking the understanding to spend hard earned money in case the investment does not deliver what I need, so If I can ask some basic questions perhaps you could answer in non technical language.

Requirement: To be able to watch UK TV from our home in Ozankoy.

1. What sort of hardware is necessary to capture the data and send it to our computer at our Home in Ozankoy, assuming best quality possible how much would this cost including fitting and installation?.

2. What specification laptop will I need to receive the top quality data if possible possible suggest make and model and est. price in England.

3. Is a special socket and cable needed on laptop and TV? if so please advise spec. and est. cost.

in short, the ad is for a sat TV service that isn't showing UK TV - using a sat dish

You appear to be asking about an internet service.. do you have a SKYPE id.. if so - don't post it here - you can email me

- my detail appear in my profile

dougskud if you are in Cyprus and are interested you would be welcome to pass by my house, where you can see the kind of thing you can do internet wise to get UK TV and what you can not and I can talk you through pros and cons and how it works or could work and what you would need. If that is of some use or interest to you then email me on erolz@cream.org
