How is the Weather in April?

Hello everyone. I have booked a holiday to Kyrenia for the last two weeks in April. I hear that the days are hot but the evenings are chilly around that time of year. How chilly is chilly? Is it big woolly polar-neck weather or will just a light denim jacket suffice for the evenings? My main concern is....is the sea too cold to swim in? ...and is it rough? My partner and I love to swim and he can just snorkel for hours.

It is not cold by Uk standards but it can be rough some days as April can be quite a windy month.

Thanks Pugwash. I suppose we will have to play it by ear and take advantage of the calm days. We went to Kyrenia in September last year and the sea was like a walm bath and very calm.
