Hi there, Bob is an extremely weak and vulnerable chocolate brown pointer puppy i found near Rosie's bar on Lapta strip this morning. Another pointer puppy had been hit by a passing car and was left dead on the road. We have taken Bob in temporarily to feed him up, but cant keep him as Jim our dog is not very happy at this turn of events. I have taken him to the vets today and started treatment for fleas, Ticks and worms. The vet believed he was approx 6-8weeks old. Bob is very cute and friendly - i am not sure how to post link to picture here, so if you send me your email address i am more than happy to send a picture to you. Many thanks for looking at this post. Becky

Hi Sue - yes very sad, he is lovely, but with our other dog and ontop of that landlord not happy that we already have the one, so really not an option to keep him, if we did not have our other dog Jim we would happily have him. Sad to see him so weak at roadside, surely there's a better option for him than that. Really hoping we can find him a nice home. I will post pictures here this evening which i am hoping will help to home him.

Back to the top please. He's the spitting image of of one of mine. Five years agp she was found emaciated, traumatised, neck bound with wire and somebody had obviously tried to hang her. She is the most loving dog I've ever had in my life (and believe me I've had a few)!! Please give Bob a home, you will never ever regret it.

Please anyone who can help can you email me rebecca_shaw@sky.com - you are more than welcome to come visit Bob. I picked Bob up at the side of the road where another of the pups were dead by him - and had been hit by a car. I have taken him to vets - treated for worms, ticks and fleas so no fleas now. Bob has also been given an injection to boost his immune system where he was in a sorry state when i found him on tuesday. Bob is eating well and much better in the few days he has been here. I appreciate there are many posts looking for homes for other dogs on here, however this is a sad case and i could not leave him on roadside to end up like the other pup. I really cannot keep him longterm due to aggression from our other dog (which there have been a few near misses) and where in rented property for the next year.I have two young girls that adore him so he is used to young children - but due to the circumstances mentioned he really needs a home elsewhere. I have been in touch with the

Bob looks so sweet and he is so lucky that you took him in - fingers crossed you soon find him a home. We already have more than our quota of pets so unfortunately cannot take him in ourselves but are very hopeful that some kind person will.

They're all like that. Mine still does and she weighs a tonne, she doesn't realise that she's now a matronly, somewhat over weight, middle aged lady. The dark brown pointers seem to be as soft as putty.

Still looking for a home for Bob - if not homed soon - he will have to go to rescue centre - where it is likely he would pick up infections from other dogs because of his age - please if anyone can take him on or knows of anyone get in touch! he deserves a loving home and the attention i can give him is limited where our other dog has taken a dislike to him.

If we were in Cyprus we'd give him a home, but we're not unfortunately, still in Australia waiting to sell our home. You may find, if you're patient, that your older dog will settle down after getting used to the new pooch. Our next door neighbours brought home a new dog, a year-old-puppy, and the older dog, a Jack Russell, used to beat hell out of the new (bigger!) dog, but now they're the best of friends. The aggro may well be a case of showing who's boss and setting up a change of command. Best of luck, your pup looks gorgeous!

I'm inclined to agree with Msg. 32. Your original dog is setting up the "pecking order" which is only natural. Bob will learn very quickly that he is new, younger and has to "bow down" to the original occupant of the territory. We have this problem each time we introduce another one to our brood but they do sort themselves out after 2 or 3 weeks. (honestly) Sometimes less. I think Bob has found a home, it does seem such a shame that he might have to leave and start all over again.

yes perhaps things would settle down - but our dog had him by the throat three times yesterday and as he is a terrier i am concerned about it. Also we are in rented property with restrictions. I am keen to rehome him asap so it is less unsettling for Bob - still searching!!!!

Thanks for your support - spangles. Bob really is adorable - and anyone who meets him in person would agree - everything i have said about him on here is true and he happily sat in my arms around chateau lambosa earlier today. I almost homed him with kind people at the market, but their partners did not want another dog or people were worried about their other dogs with him, which is understandable. If anyone knows of someone who can give Bob a loving home then i am more than happy to take Bob to you if that helps or you can have him for a few hours so that you can see for yourselves that he is a sweetie and i promise i wont leave him with you if you decide not to home him : ) - honestly !!!

Still looking for a home for Bob. I am afraid we are going to have to take Bob to KAR on monday - if no home by then, Jim (our dog) has been yet again extremely aggressive towards Bob and barking all afternoon and evening and his behaviour is getting worse with each day, so please if anyone can help get in touch asap!

If what you say about your original dog and his behaviour then I'm afraid I have to agree with you, Bob will be a great deal safer elswhere. At first I thought it was "pecking order" but now I'm not so sure. Your Jim appears to be overly aggressive at the moment dosn't he? . Is he always like this with other dogs?

Hi, Becky123 - I guess if you're other dog is trying to tear Bob's throat out, it really isn't a goer, is it? If you can't find a good home for this lovely pooch, and have to take him to KAR, tell them we'll take him on board when we get to Cyprus, except we don't know when! Hopefully, a kind person will give him a good home in the meantime, but if not, we are waiting in the wings and will adopt him as soon as practicable after we get to Cyprus. And thanks for being so kind to this loveable stray!

Thank you Mo, that's really good to know and gives me some hope. Tango1 no he has not been like this with other dogs - and was in a kennel with three others at KAR, also our next door neighbour's dog will come into our garden with no problems. But Jim is only a pup still at one yrs old and the vet believed it was jealousy and that he wants the pup out of the way. Such a pity as Bob is more playful now as much stronger and because of this Jim is going at him more........................... So any help gratefully received!

| Msg. 41. If you are genuine with your offer re Bob and will take him when you get here could you possibly get in touch with the KAR office and be prepared to sponsor him in the meantime? That way you will show your genuine intent won't you? The office will explain how to do it and let you have the name of their bank in the UK were your sponsor money can be deposited. BTW any one in the UK can sponsor an animal up at the Centre - dog or cat. Not sure if you were aware of the method of having a dog in Cyprus!! You can then take it for walk, bath and socialise with it when you are visiting the island. And MAYBE when the system is made easier by DEFRA next year, have the animal transported back to UK!!!!! | Can you give me the e-mail address of KAR, Tango1? I may not be able to pay regularly as, when we do leave Australia, we will have to set up international bank accounts, not the ones we have at present. And we need to know, of course, that Bob/Ned ends up at the refuge. Do hope he finds a loving home in the meantime, and doesn't have to hang around the refuge until we get to Cyprus. |

Is anyone or anybody know of someone to home Ned/ Bob for a few months until Mo and Bryan arrive. I will buy a supply of food for him to go to you and will get his injections started, so hardly any expense! If it were a few weeks i would tough it out here, but its not fair on either dog if its going to be for months and also our two young girls will get more attached to him. Please get in touchif you can provide a temporary home. I am sure Mo and Bryan are true to their word as they have been in touch with me via email and seem keen to have him. Or if anyone can home him longterm that would be fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bob/Ned (although at mo we keep calling him sizzles as looks like dog from Charlie and Lola) is cuddling up on my lap as i type - i know he will make a great companion for someone...........................

Yes, don't worry about our commitment, Becky, the problem at the moment is getting shot of our home, but the market here is slow unfortunately. It would be good if a permanent home could be found for him now, but if he's still on his own when we get to Cyprus, we'll take him on board. We were actually going to look for a small, female dog, ha-ha, but Ned/Bob/Sizzles poked his nose in!
