Hi - saw previous thread on this subject (and don't want to start offensive comments again) but do need urgently to get a particular Article in English. Tried both the links given in the previous thread, but did not manage to connect. Is anyone able to help me please?

If it was really that urgent you should have specified which Clause and then you could have had the answer here without any fuss.

Is it a matter of common sense or is it in the training of engineers to think like that? Sometimes I despair.

Way back in 1962 I visited the library of the Institution of Electrical Engineers in London for the first time. To this day I remember very vividly what the librarian had told me. He said, "if you write to me (we had no internet in those days) and ask if I have a certain publication or not, also specify what you want me to do with it. Don't simply ask if I have it or not, think ahead".

Who said my countrymen never think ahead. They think ahead the moment they get you to sign the Sale Agreement: how to cheat you to the last penny

Sorry Ismet - I don't post very much because I am often horrified at some of the responses, and am very wary about saying any more than absolutely necessary! However, your criticism is constructive and to the point - thank you (but I'm still not going to tell you which bit I'm interested in......!) Cyprus44 has risen to the challenge on this occasion - thanks everyone who responded.
