Tracey Emin is featured on thie weeks 'who do you think you are', a BBC series that traces the ancestry of 'celebrities'. The program focuses on tracing Ms Emin's mother's (non cypriot) side of her family and particularly on her great grandfather, with only the briefest mention of her father's (turkish cypriot) side. Interesting none the less if you like that kind of thing. For those with access to BBC iPlayer it is available here till 19th of this month

Hi ErolZ

Good find !

For the purposes of TV budgets - it's probably a bit hard to trace one's fathers routes as his g/father was descended from Sudanese Slaves ( later freed) 'imported' by The Ottoman empire. (02:48 minutes )

On a few episodes of this programme, it has only traces back one side of the family, it does take an awful lot of research to do the whole family tree going back generations..

Tracy just wanted to know about this particular line, don't think it was any thing to do with her father being a NC...

Very interesting her family back ground ...
