Has anyone who has changed to multimax got a Skype account where they pay a subscription to call land lines in the UK? If so have you had any of the UK numbers you call fail? All ours are failing and the numbers we are calling are getting blocked. We are not blaming Multimax but has anyone else experienced this problem?

skype out (using skype with pre paid credit to call a normal landline) to UK numbers is working fine here using a multimax connection.

If you would like me to try to a specific UK number just email me on erolz@cream.org

Just tried Marks UK mobile from skype out here using MM, it rang ok.

The only other thing I can think off is that your IP address would have changed when yopu moved to MM connection and would like like you are in RoC. It may possibly be a security thing with skype getting worried that someone has 'hacked' your skype account because it is comming from an unkown IP and location not used by you before, but I have never had such a thing personally and I use skype out from different locations and different IP addresses in different countries all the time and never had any problems so it probably not this.

Erolz, Skype have suggested that I refresh the routing information in my laptop by locating or deleting the shared.xml file used by Skype. I am not very technical and would appreciate advise as to whether this will mess up my MM for other things. We are very pleased with MM and dont want to loose it or mess it up

Deleting this file will only affect skype and not your connetion in general.
