After Wales knocked IRL out, I backed 'em to win and think they WOULD have done so with the extra man that ( NO WAY) should have been red carded ..

WHY should a howler by one guy spoil it for millions.... rotten decision

Wales have not had the rub of the green by a long shot...ref should be took to task over that decision, they have been the most entertaining team at the world cup so far.

This from an England fan too..

Wales were robbed, the ref should be sentenced to life and sent to the hardest prison in any country except France as they would treat him as a saint! If I could afford it would have him shot. I am not Welsh, but for such a sh*t ref to be allowed to ruin a tournament he does not deserve to live.

Hmm, watched it all the way through and IMHO this was the first "offence" by Sam. I'm not sure how the rules can be interpreted in such a way that the Yellow card is skipped in favour of Red. Sam popped Vincent back down as soon as he was off the ground. It's not as if he was carrying him around.

Bad tactical decision, not taking the drop goal late on when in front of the posts in possession of the ball, and two missed penalties, cost Wales the game, not the refereeing decision.

Sour grapes perhaps.

Agree with Daveboy Msg 2 Lousy decision by what is normally a very good Ref ! I saw officials and thought at least the game will be allowed to flow without bias, Nope, should have consulted line/video officials, too quick to flash the card. He needs a hobby 'cause he is going to have a lot more Saturday afternoons to fill, maybe Portmarnock for a spot of Golf or plenty of Good fishing to be had near Dublin. R.I.P his part time career, still Howard survived Football World Cup 2010 (Final) Had a shocker, but still working ?? Wales a mistake, robbed you of a piece of Sporting History, you were magnificent on and off the Pitch you ought to be very Proud of yourselves!

Perhaps if the Welsh had a decent drop goal/ penalty kicker this would be academic?

In hindsight, after a glass of wine:the pundits agree,Warburton's tackle looked bad, maybe unavoidable and accidental, and maximum punishment was a sin bin for 10 minutes.THAT lost Wales the game.

Certainly Wales MUST get a kicker for drop goalos and penalties.Bring back Neil Jenkins !!

Stop dripping about a perfectly legal decision, learn the laws of the game. Would you all be saying the same thing if the french player had broken his neck ?

Wales played excelently with 14 men, but if you do the crime you've got to do the time, get over it.

Looking at it again on you tube, clearly the correct decision.

Then again the Welsh always claim they were robbed when they lose.

Easy to slag off a referee ..but not so easy to apologise when he's proved to be right, eh?

I don't think the ref reads this board, so it's not really an apology to the ref you really want is it?
