wales are rubbish at rugby, always have been, they only got to the semis by an easy draw, but good experience for them, it's something they can always remember, a story for the gran children.

Wales were robbed, the ref should be sentenced to life and sent to the hardest prison in any country except France as they would treat him as a saint! If I could afford it would have him shot. I am not Welsh, but for such a sh*t ref to be allowed to ruin a tournament he does not deserve to live.

Well they can justifiably moan against the wrong decision the referee was compleatly wrong how he could give a red card i don't know.

Just hope he doesn't have a holiday home in Wales.

Wales played so well and to hear a smug Frog at the end to say 'maybe it was written' really but my back up.

My prediction still stands AB's to lift the trophy.

The worst game of rugby I've watched since the the start of the knock-out stage. Wales did well after a man down but typical play and exhibition of negative Northern Hemisphere rugby! 9pm tonight (NZ time) will be the killer match but the AB's are vulnerable with too many injuries of their top players.

Yes we can certainly hold our heads up high. The boys played like trojens and deserved to win after they were robbed of their captain. Did anyone notice how well the ref spoke French!! gwneud yn dda fy fechgyn

PS to my last post Msg10. Watching the game live on TV in NZ with Kiwi commentators before seeing the colour of the card the referee pulled on the Welsh Captain, said, "It was a 'red' and would be lucky to get away with a 'yellow'." But what do Kiwi's know about rugby?!

Learn the laws people, spear tackles are dangerous play and are punishable by a red card, simple, or do you all think there should be a special set of laws for the Welsh ?

I wanted Wales to win, but come on Taffs, get over it - its the final whistle you play for and had about 60 minutes to beat France and took a lot of wrong options. Anyway 1 man does NOt make a rugby team, its as bad as David Haye blaming his loss to Klitschko on his little toe!

Remember a couple of years ago playing Italy, if they had kicked the penalty then they would have won, but some strange reason they chose to run - result a draw!

Well 6 nations looks interesting according to current form!

Wales to be champions

Ireland to regroup and bring on fresh players

England in dissaray!

Italy and Scotland - no comment same as before need more than 'divine inspiration'

France it depends on who is left after new coach takes over! As maybe a few will call it a day after next week.

Wales have next week to redeem themselves or confirm that they have had a lucky passge so far!

All Blacks will dread facing France, but have to get past Wallabies though.... not very easy but home

Spear tackles are legal in NZ.

Think of Brian O'Driscoll with the Lions.

Martin- that was not what you would call an intentional spear tackle-unlike the one performed by the ABS on O'Driscoll.

He did not intentionally drive him into the ground he took him low and upended him-granted he should have kept hold him and put him down gently (come on that is not possible) penalty yes yellow card maybe but not a red card. Warburton is not a dirty player just a hard tackling good back row.

The referee successfully ruined the semi final of the most prestigious rugby tournament in the world.

Looking back over the pool games there have been many worse tackles than that, not that in itself is right.

This time the referee was wrong.

Its a good thing that some of the so called 'experts' here have never played down the East Lancs Road'

Re msg 13 and 15

Was it a dangerous tackle? Yes. Was the Frenchmen driven into the ground? No. Was he dropped from height? (3ft plus)? No. Therefore the rules state penalty and at worse yellow card. Ref got it badly wrong. That said Wales should have done with 14 men what England failed so miserably to do with 15 and won.

Law 10.4(j) reads: “Lifting a player from the ground and dropping or driving that player into the ground whilst that player’s feet are still off the ground, such that the player’s head and/or upper body come into contact with the ground, is dangerous play. Sanction: Penalty kick.”

I rest my case

One thing, it will make placing a bet on the final very easy. The Winners Vs France.

The French have absolutely no chance of winning given:-

1. They won't be capable of stopping tries.

2. They aren't capable of scoring tries with this team.

They are in for a thrashing.

Do the Welsh ever stop moaning and blaming others when they loss at rugby. Look on the bright side taffy, you would have been in for a right good hammering off the all blacks.

It's not often I'm ashamed to be British but listening and reading all this rubbish about the "referee's relations are French" it "wasn't a spear tackle" etc etc are totally unacceptable, he had a split second to witness the tackle and was totally correct in his interpretation of the law. Dangerous play is a RED CARD luckily the player wasn't injured. I wonder what you pathetic excuses for rugby supporters would be saying if a bad injury had occurred. Get over it, move on and Hippo you should know better ,your Welsh bit must be above your shoulders, pity it's not between your ears.

Quite right Cinders!

Isn't it a good thing for RU to have France in the final?

You all pretend it's a really international sport but aren't France the only team not previously part of the British Empire to reach the final?

So, RU-types...aren't you pleased that France being in the final justifies your 'world-wide-code' claims?

Cinders and Mart- Hippo will certainly be watching it-as he has watched all the rest. the trouble with you two you have got that well known English syndrome-goinghome-earlyities.

I will not continue to complain about the decision it is now over and done with and the disciplinary board upheld it and gave a three match ban which I think will be successfully appealed.

So lets all get together and support a well known personality's (sic) country next Sunday-somehow I think not.

Why are the Welsh bemoaning the result? They lost because they didn't score enough points. They had enough opportunities. They failed to take them. As for the sending off. If their captain didn't want to be sent off he should have played within the rules. Simple.

Pedantic as ever.

Read the laws then. It's all the same to me.

He broke the law. Simple. The ref had to send him off. Silly boy. If you can't keep your players on the field in an international rugby match you are not likely to win.

Read the laws Hippo. Don't pontificate till you have read them again.

Writing in 350 BC, the Greek philosopher Aristotle declared, "The rule of law is better than the rule of any individual."[6]
