We the forum moderators get e.mails from time to time complaining about a certain post. Personally I have no intention to read through tens or even hundreds of posts and try to locate or guess the post in question.

I suggest that if anybody want us to examine a certain post they should give us the link to the thread and also specify which number post/posts. Then it will be a simple matter to investigate the offending posts and act accordingly. Thank you.

Seems a very good idea and rather an obvious way of going about things..

i think 10s or 100s of posts is in the past when the site was busy its not now, you see lots on line but no one posts either due to stupid posts and not worth a reply or the risk of getting banned for voicing an opinion

A couple of Boards I have been on (one run entirely by volunteers ) have an icon you can click on if you object to a certain post. I dont understand the technicalities and I accept that may be a problem but it seems to work. Of course there will be stupid and vindictive objections but presumably there are anyway. Of course there are also a number of (reasonable) rules that have to be followed and an objector has to specify which rule he considers has been broken. One of the rules incidentally is no blasphemity or obscentities, but that might not work here since some posters seem to think all adjectives have to be "four letter words"!

msg. 5, Clarissa2,

I am sure you know what "Blasphemy" or "Blasphemous" or "Blasphemously" means so I take it that you are specifically asking for "Blasphemity". Naughty naughty

Msg.3, Andrew,

I am sure you know that there are ways and there are ways of expressing an opinion. If you want to stay within the rules you have to do it accordingly. For example instead of saying "You silly cow where did you get that idea from" you can say "I do not agree with you". Shall we say the same thing, one against the rules and the other within the rules

@ msg 6, elko2: RIGHT! RIGHT! Then why do you moderators just don't DELETE any post where people are called 'idiots' or much worse..?! That might bring some order and decency to this board.

Well said DC, and that goes for EVERY ONE, including yourself I hope!! ... bully boys and girls no need to keep 'having ago' at people, then end up calling people names...

Hans your grammar is not up to scratch either, but I will forgive you seeing as you are a Dutch man...

▶ I think it was clear enough for most readers when I wrote "any post".

dailoukat, my pulling up Hans regarding his grammar was 'tongue in cheek' as he is a classic one for pulling me and others up on spelling etc ....

No offence to him or others regarding this... I for one really dont worry if I spel fings rong, or me grammar aint wot its spos to be ....

I have plenty of other things more interesting in my life than to worry about such stuff ...

Elko,

I would not have your job as a moderator, for a pension!

I suppose without you, and your like, there would be no one to ban us more balanced posters,

Wyn,

We have lots of members who break the rules occasionally but if you insist on breaking a certain rule and even worse try to boast about it, then even you as a more balanced poster get the ban for a week.

Elko,

Me boast? . We humble posters are only here for the benefit, and enjoyment of the hierarchy.

Wyn,

I admit I have a failing memory but me thinks yours is even worse. I am sure you would not remember anything about your speed being as good as a neutrino for resurrecting a closed thread
