It's no wonder and so sad that Brits are getting the cold shoulder from some of the locals.

More and more each day a less of a welcome is now the order of the day in TRNC and who can blame the locals.

But I can understand why this is happening fighting ,swearing and uncouth behaviour from some of the Brits.



I just hope the locals can find it in there hearts not to tar us all with the same brush !!

its sad pipie but a lot of brits just dont know how to behave,weather here or in any other country,even when they go on holiday they'll have a few drinks then dont give a damn about anything ;)

The main reason for the cold shoulder is probably the fact Brits now see through the local scams and are letting the world know about it.

So the place is no longer the jewel of the Med and is now a Dual in the Med, its probably down to excess testosterone created by the night clubs upping the prices or them not letting the Brits in as they are full of local politicians

There is good and bad in every nationality. Always a shame when some idiots give the rest a bad name. I've met more good than bad Brits here, I've met more good than bad Turkish and Turkish Cypriots here, so in my eyes it's still a minority that ruin things for others.

North Cyprus, the south, Spain and lots of other places have suffered as a result of Brit tourism.

In the early days it wasn't so bad as they were few and usually educated types - or at least civilised.

But gradually the "can't get decent bacon or a decent english breakfast" brigade started to arrive and unfortunately some stayed.

Now you are seeing the results.

Their offspring will gradually follow and then we will have another Aya Napa!!

It was great while it lasted !!

I feel sorry for the Turks - both Cypriot and mainland.
