Just had covers made from Mermaid for air cons for the outside part.

It will help to prolong their life, covering them up so rain, dust and sand doesn't get in.

Also looks good if you have to sit beside them!

Recommend them.

Thanks Linda..............................

Bit of a nuisance having to take it off every time when you use the unit for heating especially when its wet.

If your condensors are in the heating mode, the fan coils[outside],could get blocked with damp sand, not so good

so covering them would assist in keeping them clean, and working efficiently.

davpat,I think the folding of the electrode is vital to the operational sequencing of the opposed Diode, having said that the condenserol is suspended by the vertical,if the condenser is true it will compensate, I hope this helps the above lovely ladies.....

Message 9,the sequencing of the opposing diode is low tech,I would hardly think any AC condensor would still have those fitted!!...even in TRNC!

Take it easy folks!!

To repeat do you have to remove the covers when the unit is working if so why have them?

Yes,Deniz1,do not cover the condensor when its in use,the covers are simply to protect the coils from wind blown sand/dust/etc/etc,when you take off the covers at the start of the cooling season, just vacuum over the coils to remove dust etc, helps to keep the AC working efficiently

If they are serviced every year,a vacuuming of the coils should form part of the service,if not I would question the servicing company.

Davedee - We'll see how long your air cond units last then!!!!

Getting technical now folks!!!

All I want to do is protect them for the winter and by covering them that's what I am doing.

Deniz1 - Only cover them if you are not using them during the winter with the heat mode!

Air Cond units are not dust proof what is?????

Thanks Linda............................
