I decided to switch it on last night expecting to see some entertainment as most people rave about it. Well what a waste of time. I saw Pants and Pec (I think its what the dwarf and the minster are called) and they were persuading a lump of lard (who was nearly in tears after the so called task in the jungle) to go on a disney ride in the dark and squash a few bugs and toads, upset some fluffy cuddly rats and then scare the hell out of a few fish and a 3 inch crocodile. Where are the animal rights activists it must have been pure hell for those creatures, how any were hurt? Anyway if the lump of lard was a celebrity dont bother to tell me who. It was kids stuff.

It's what passes today as entertainment. I could only be bothered to watch if you were in it Rocky. I don't understand what the public see in "Ant & Dec" - they're about as amusing as rabies in Battersea Dogs Home.

I agree with Rocky, I can't bear to watch, every-time someone eats a live bug it mekes me feel sick, not for the so called celeb, but for the poor bug, it shouldn't be allowed.

Thank goodness we on this BB don't act like those idiots....at least we are civilised, polite people who don't insult each other and also have the decency to kill witchity grubs before we eat them!!!

OK - someone has to be the first to dive in and admit that I think this is probably the best thing on British TV at the moment (may say something about the quality of TV programmes in general). C list celebs. making fools of themselves in a desperate attempt to get back in the limelight - a wonderful example of competing egos with not a hint of the doom and gloom which seems to be all prevailing in the UK. I like a bit of mindless drivel to accompany a few glasses of wine in the evening. Will now prepare myself for the inevitable onslaught.

I find some of these programmes stimulating, it keeps my brain active trying to work out just who the celebrities are

Well, I think that Ant and Dec are the best thing about this programme - especially when you can tell that off camera they are taking the p..s.

I've never watched it or the X factor, so couldn't comment on what they are like.
