They are authorised by FSA in UK but as far as I am aware do not transact business for non UK residents.

mess 5 - i was a uk insurance broker for 35 years (30 of which i had by own broking company) - Myhonest advice would be to buy the cover in the trnc, from Creditwest, who's policy wording is amongst the best and re-insurance is with a global insurer........

very easy to be fobbed off from the uk if it all goes "tits up" - remember that.............

Having just had a break in and thought that we had cover for the items stolen ie, computer, camera and phone we were wrong Creditwest do not cover any items that are portable. Donīt think that your are covered just like in the UK. We are now insured with Can Sigorta who have insured us against loss of the above and more.

Make sure you get all items added to your policy !!!!!

We insure with Anadolu and have no regrets. Our car and our villa is covered with them and we have emergency service cover included we have had claims on both villa and car and each one has been dealt with very professionally by them and the repairer as well. We have been with this company since 2006 and wouldn't think of changing to anyone else.

Hope this helps.

I had both mu property and Kibris Villa insured through my UK bank. THis spring the bank said their Lloyds underwriterswould no longer coner KK and they withdrew.

I looked into KK policies ans noticed they all have a 2% excess on value of property for flood and eathquake. Not a good idea as rainy season approaches.Anybody else had experience of this?

After much shoping around in UK I found a UK company backed by a Lloyds underwriter that would cover my villa with Ģ100 excess on everything. Not sure about full time residents.

I would happy to pass on details if anyone interested

Aveon Superb for car insurance. My 10 year old Megane Bonnet and Screen damaged by childrens stones whilst parked. Took car to Lefkosa for Aveon to inspect. Offered me loan car to drive home. I collected my car same time next day with bonnet resprayed and windscreen replaced.

No excess or charges. Just a question, was I satisfied with service !!
