That is so awful, we were stroking it on Monday of this week, A beautiful animal.

Spare a thought for the poor driver that hit it. because it would be a bit of a shock hitting a foal.

Tolga's is to blame, have you seen the tiniest pen thAt the mare and foal were cooped up in, yes a very small triangle of a pen. The poor donkey is cooped up in something similar. IT IS AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE HOW ANIMALS ARE KEPT HERE. AND ALL TO PULL IN A FEW PUNTERS ON A VERY BUSY ROAD. I AM DISGUSTED BIG TIME.

think im just depressed but as i said in anova thread, nothing surprises me anymore. animals are killed on roads everywhere.dog fights are rife just around the corner to my home in animal loving england?! dont think so. people were arrseted for starving horses to death and in the next field were hundreds of bales of hay. its an effed up world, and it wont change.the negative vibrations in the world are too powerful. all i can say is the foal would have probably had a shite life if it was in a tiny pen, whatever, for a lifetime of misery. but i bet the mare will be allowed to have another

thats what happens when you have idiots looking after animals,we were feeding the mother a few weeks ago & there was 4inch nails facing into the pen, & it should not have been anywhere a near road at that age.

Please spare a thought for the owners they too maybe very upset about this.

Perhaps like a lot of locals over here they know no better way ! We see it all the time appalling to us YES.

But remember also most just tend to make do over here with whatever and however.

Get real, the man is complete and utter tw*t, you obviously don't know him and have never seen the state the animals are kept in.

This is a classic case of a local "wanting" a horse or whatever, but then having absolutely no knowledge whatsoever of how to care for it, neither mentally or physically. They don't appreciate that animals (no matter what breed) feel pain, heat, thirst, hunger and thrive on kindness. Some cases are in a bad way because of ignorance and others because of downright cruelty. Such a great shame the foal had to end its life this way.

you will never educate the locals ..and why should we try its their country after all !the best thing in MHO is to vote with your feet and never go to a place a second time if they are not looking after their dogs/cats/ animals in general ...hit them in the pocket where it hurts !there are shops here that have poor thin abused dogs chained up at all times in all weather ....I wouldnt spend my money in them if they were the last shop on the Island ,

I think you are all very cruel in the things you have said. Those animals were actually checked the other day and passed as being well looked after. This i agree. The owner was going to move them to a bigger field. The Foal should not have been out but it was only killed because of the driver either being on the mobile. or speeding. The speed everyone comes through there between camera's is diabolical. Another camera should be set up in the dip. Bigmart we know the owner very well, and to say what you said you should be utterly ashamed. He looks after his animals better than some Brits look after theres. It is a very sad thing that has happened and I know that the owner is very upset. There is not reason to be so damed rude about him. The sooner a speed camera is put up there the better.

MSG 20

What planet are you on

The donkey has had to stay tied to the wall all summer with no shade

And as for the horse and foal i dont consider a 12 x12 pound the ideal enviroment

I live very close to tolgas, not once have i seen the donkey , horse or foal moved to an area where they could actally walk or run.

I amtotally disgusted the way these animals are treated, the owner should be ashamed

I don't have any clue who Tolga is, but reading all these comments I am also disguted!!! No animal deserves to have their freedom taken away and if one is to look after any animal then full care should be taken!! If everyone gets together and protests him, he may than maybe ashamed of the way he has treated those animals.

even worse in Turkey most horses, donkeys are hobbled, in full sun all year !!!doesnt make it any better for the poor foal , but im sure that many are killed by cars , if not sold for slaughter in France from the new forest! Hampshire.....and the locals profit from the sales, same shit different island !
