Posting mail to the UK

Has anyone posted mail recently to the UK? and if so how long was it before its arrival....If at all



I posted a letter 3 week ago and nothing as yet...Guessing its gone AWOL

Difficult to day really, some gets there quickly, others take for ever and some don't make it! I always put my cards/letters in a brown envelope. Seems to work.

I can honestly say that in over 7 years I've never lost any mail going from KKTC to UK. Even my Australian mail only takes 2 weeks or less which I thought was pretty good going.

Have to agree with message 3,luckily everything we've posted to the UK has got there fairly quickly. Can't say the same for the UK to here, we've had loads of cards and gifts gone astray, despite being in brown envelopes etc, and correctly addressed.

Have taken a post office box. Over a four year period have had no problem with mail - usually takes 10 / 14 days either way. Mail from UK is sent in brown envelope with computer printed address label on front bearing totally correct address details. Post Office in UK usually ask for contents details of envelope and "printed papers" seems to cover everything. Hope this helps.

Postal service works well here and we never lost any letters on the way.
