Hi timefore,

a while ago I posted the same topic and was told by a gentleman that they were planning to open at the new location by the end of this month.

I'm thinking of passing by and asking them when (as I'm getting desperate)

I had a Very good Chicken Dansak the other night at Al Shaheen Karakum. No Naan bread though sadly.

I called in today but couldn't see anyone though clearly there was still a small amount of work to be done.

I would say that the opening is imminent as it really does look ready but for tiny bits and pieces

We popped in today and was talking to the waiter, they are hoping to open to open this Tuesday, but I would say probably next Tuesday, there is still a small amount of work to do, and this is Cyprus, but would say definately by early next month.

Jeannie'

Where do you live? I don't want to stalk you, promise! I just need to know where Nosheen's is. It was at Friends hotel the last time we went.

I wonder why Al Shaeen, Punjab, Rafters and the like do not make Naan bread. They must read posts on rival restaurants. The message is clear, good Indian (Pakistani) food and good Naan bread sells here

We (4 of us) went last night, the Indian food was excellent but one of our party did not like Indian food and we had been reassured that European food was also available so thought no problem. Well, they took our order and then came and said "no steak", ok. we'll have the Maryland Chicken. later, "no Maryland chicken". He ended up having scampi which he is not very keen on. Tariq came over later and told us that they had the steaks and chicken but the chef did not know how to cook European food, he said he would get another chef just to cook non-Indian food so will be ok shortly.

Lovely surroundings, nice background music and a nice, peaceful atmosphere. Would recommend it, we were so full that the garlic Naan went back untouched along with 4 out of 6 chappatis. Wish I had a bigger stomach!!

We wish them all the best.

The Wildebeest (bless her) thoroughly enjoyed a mild curry and prawns. I ordered the same but medium. It was so hot that I was immediately drenched in perspiration and had to be mopped with tissues. Nevertheless, it was so delicious I ignored the embarrassment and ate all before me whilst thinking of Johnny Cash, San Quentin, and singing "ring of fire." Presumably a Vindaloo comes with a fire engine !

Tariq (I call him Nosher (of Nosheens)), confirmed that he will have a Chef from next week to cook European food on Thursdays to Sundays.

Our group thoroughly enjoyed the decor, ambiance, and friendliness accompanying the excellent food and service, all at fair prices. We hope that the restaurant maintains this great start and attracts many customers so that in the Winter months ahead dining out can be as good as in the Summer months.
