great news regarding the ferry, the crossing has been endorsed by the european comission who say that there is no prohibition under general international law to enter and leave sea ports in the northern part of cyprus.and they have sent a letter to the greek cyps endorsing this.

is it true that one of the crossings had to be cancelled due to bad weather,or was it the greeks that stopped the crossing.

Hi all,

Read the post and thought great !!

Then read the article and cant help but feel it was bad news??

ROC seem very confident that they have swayed syria to bow to their needs??

Sounds like someone went with a big brown envelope full of readies??

Take care-D

hi davidoff

you should not worry that much on what these greek cypriot mp's say through their greek cypriot propaganda newspapers

many years before the cyprus problem there was crossing from famagusta to syria but after the problems the syrians were the ones who actually stoped the service for saftey and security reasons not the greeks

so at the end of the day its down to the syrians i dont personally think they will stop it firstly turkish and syrian relations are at a all time high with even syria agreeing with turkey about going into iraq to sort the kurdish pkk problem

also the greeks want to appear confident to the world they will get their way but deep down they know its not down to them and thats what hurts them the most (they cant go running to the e.u with their dummies in their mouth crying to them its not fair)

Dodger

Just returned yesterday from TRNC and it is still up and running. We will soon be allowed over the border to Ikea in our hire cars to get some cheap gear.
