Two separate things have just happened before my very eyes (whose catch phrase was that then?). The first thing that happened was a moped or small scooter went past me at possibly 20 KPH and the rider and his pillion passenger appeared to be about 12 years old. They were not wearing crash helmets and I wonder if they were insured. Following recent events you could be forgiven for thinking that parents might be more careful with their offspring. The second thing that happened also involved a scooter, ridden by an older lady (exPat), who passes by quite often, I am pleased to report that she was wearing a lovely new crash helmet and she rarely goes over 10 KPH.

And if/when something happens to these kids, some other poor sod will get the blame, no doubt.

It will not be the lads fault nor the parents that is for sure , self / parental responsibility in trnc seems to much to ask it is easier to blame the g/cs / foreigners .

I've spent a lot of time in Lefkosa in the last 10 days or so, and I have to say that the drivers there appear to have gone by the "helmets" rule much more than that Girne and surrounding towns.
