Excellent ...and at least the RL guys don't pretend it's a WORLD cup .....watch this to spot the RU stars of the future (once they've lost a yard of pace)

Riddles, please come and meet me, I'd love to share your rugby playnig experiences, I'm sure there are many.

Why are you carrying a chip on your shoulder about Union/ League ? surely we should all be united against the soccer menace.

I met the widow of a Welsh RU player who had led his hometown club to their only championship in the 60s ...he got his Welsh RU cap (the first from his club) and then 'went North' and signed for Leeds RLFC ....when they returned they were refused admission to the clubhouse but not before she had seen that her husband had been 'airbrushed' from the championship-winning-team photograph....it's not a chip I'm carrying it's a memory.

Spot on, Paul ...

And when I was at college a guy from Hull , called Colin, was by far the best scrum-half there but, because he had played (amatuer) RL after the age of 18 he was deemed to be tainted by professionalism -and therefore not selected for the college RU team. (obviously, there wasn't an RL team!) ...at the same time the college played in their Wednesday team a full Irish International who, whilst residing in college and playing for London Irish was paid his Dublin to London airfare ...which he pocketed ..by (amatuer) London Irish each weekend....It's 100 years of hypocrisy I object to!

newlad. A great game on tonight but the BBC are pathetic, on our local evening news they were at Sale Sharks because there is a game on there the only mention of the League game was a mention of up dates on Radio Manchester.
