It is not just sick,. it is downright evil. whatever anyone's sexual orientation this is totally unacceptable in terms of human behaviour. oNLY 'beasts' could have done this. One cannot say 'animals' as most of them are loving, accepting creatures. But in a strange way, one hopes that those here who are clamouring for change in the laws re homosexuals realise that TRNC is not all bad compared to what is known as a civilised country - @Scotland.

so very, very sad.

Not really. maybe assuming it WAS a homophobic crime, but if not, then what? he was seemingly a much liked lad. Of course he might have been struck by lightening which would cause burns, but not 'horrific injuries' and no bolt of lightening would have tied him to a lampost. and the fact that police are suggesting quite strongly that this could have been because of the lad's sexuality would indicate this is more than just a possibility. I hpe that message 1 and myself are proved wrong in our assumptions. But nothing changes the fact that this is barbaric and certainlhy not undertaken by sensible humans!

and what are your conclusions message 3.

Good grief, and we are supposed to be a civilised society!

It doesn't matter who this man was, no-one should be tied to a lamp post and tortured like this, it's absolutely disgusting and unimaginable that anyone could even think (let alone do) this to another human being.
